2. Proposal in the Works

Since my first update, I have pivoted slightly; while Carrie Stettheimer and her dollhouse remain critical to my thesis, my main focus is on the bespoke dollhouse as a creation of self-assertion and self-expression. It’s an artifact & work of art that renders its owner both collector and creator. KLN has been working on a 3D model for my house, and I’m excited to chat with them. I am already discovering that this process feels immensely personal, as if I am creating a real home that will be used. I want it to be perfect, but I’m not quite sure what perfect means yet!
